So.....Just when I thought I knew what "tailgating" was, I was invited to attend the Far Hills Steeplechase this past weekend with some family and friends.
This experience was a real eye opener. The Far Hills Annual Steeplechase
definitely brings the definition of
"tailgating" to a whole new level!

Besides the fabulous weather, we enjoyed an artfully prepared spread of festive food and drink that left nothing to be desired!
A good time was had by all. I also did some "snooping" around at some of the other spectacular displays that were prepared by a few of the neighboring tailgaters. Take a look!
Lavish centerpieces adorned some of tables. (There was even a horsehead ice scuplture, but it melted before I got a chance to take a photo of it.)
As magnificent as the food displays were, the array of fine couture worn by many attendees was even more eye-catching!
I was in awe..
Oh yeah..., and there were several horse races too! (Ha ha.)
I was much too busy taking in everything else to catch a photo of the races, but I did grab a pic of two of the trophies. Stunning!
I hope you've enjoyed this post, and thank you all so much for your wonderful feedback on the recipes, etc. Feel free to leave comments by clicking on the "comments" section found at the bottom of each post! Thanks!
